creating a proposal means setting out proposal topics in a concise and easy to understand format which clearly defines all aspects of the proposal. If you have never created a proposal before this may seem like a daunting task, but with some advice and assistance it is quite simple and logical to do.

1. Categorize

First begin by creating three different categories, namely technical, management and cost. To begin outlining the proposal topics I suggest you start by listing the technical topics. This is where you define the problem that the company is experiencing. Next, you will describe your solution and approach to that problem and how your services will be indispensable to the proper function of the company.

2. Analysis and Training

It is helpful to provide a technical analysis to clarify your standpoint and to point out alternative solutions that may also help to solve the problem. If any testing has been done you may disclose your results at this stage and provide quality assurances. If you have a specific training programme to offer or that you want staff to complete, I would suggest supplying that information at this stage.

Define how you would implement the knowledge gained from the training programme as well as any facilities or equipment that will be needed to provide the service that you are offering. Address any logistics requirements and define a maintenance programme if needed. You are now done with the technical section of your proposal topics and can now shift your focus to management.

3. Management

Organisation and sub-contracting arrangement and management should be addressed next. Note any corporate qualifications required and define your management approach. Quality is an important factor which needs to be addressed in your proposal topics along with security and risk management. Dedicate a heading to data and configuration management should it factor in to your business needs.

1. Life is not fair - get used to it!

2. The world does not care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

3. You will not receive $ 60,000 a year right after school. You will not be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn them.

4. You think your teacher is tough? Wait until you get a boss.

5. Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping - they called it opportunity.

6. If you mess up, it's not the fault of your parents, not hnychte, learn from mistakes.

7. Before you were born, your parents were not as boring as they are now. They got that way paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you start to save the world from your parents' generation, clean the toilet in your own room.

8. Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and give you as many times as you want to get the right answer. It has nothing to do with real life.

9. Life is not divided into semesters. You do not get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Look at your expense!

10. TV - this is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to go to work and not sit at the coffee shop.

11. Be nice to nerds. It is not excluded that you will soon be working for one of them.

Now the buzz is SEO, SEM, SMO, SMM… I know what will be running through a layperson’s mind now. Lot of questions will be popping up likeWhat is all this? Why is all this? Do my business really need all the above? How its gonna help my business? Will it help in scaling up my sales? Whom should I approach to do this for my business?

The above topics are really interesting. Let me give a try to solve the above questions.

Today am gonna throw some light on SEO. This is for the people who are new to the world of SEO.

What is SEO?

SEO - Search Engine Optimization. The expansion itself says it all "Search Engine Optimization” Yes, your guess is right, in simple words - optimizing your web pages to be found by the search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing etc. But why SEO?

Why SEO?

Well, just to have a website is not enough today. As it will serve existing customers only. SEO will help you get found on search engines like Google and Yahoo! and it will help you in getting new customers and in turn proves vital for any business development.

I believe in that my website should be a 24x7 online marketing tool for me for my clients. Instead of you do an outbound marketing for your business. Your website should be answerable for all those questions what you can assume that your clients can ask from you.

Now suppose if I know you directly and we are doing business (any) from many years, why should I bother to check you or your company authenticity. I'll directly place the order to you. But only then, when I know you by many years and we are doing smooth transactions.

But suppose you are an export unit and some one from abroad who don't know you directly, and they are looking for the exact service or product, which you have under your banner. How will they find you over net? What generally I do is, I’ll open Google and will type the keyword according to me. If your site does not show up in 1 or 2 position you'll loose the enquiry, thus you loose the business.

So this is how SEO can help you to promote your business through lead generates. This leads are called as niche leads. Up to me converting the niche leads to a sale is like a walk in the park.

Things to look out:

When you optimize your website make sure what you do is right. For instance you may be a digital camera seller and your SEO expert will optimize your page on digital camera servicing. You are screwing up your leads, the user will visit your website searching for camera servicing and there won’t be any relevant content. The users will puke and go. Your page ranking will get affected because of the high bounce rate.

You have to understand SEO is more than just a few key phrases on a website. There are lots of companies going around saying they can get you to the top of search engines when they could be doing more damage than good.

Here are a few points:

Before you optimizing the website be very  clear with what product/service you are trying to provide and who is your target group. Keeping the above things in mind prepare the content for the website.

Create an easy to navigate site, with EACH page having its own title, keyword, meta tag, met description, H1 title and most importantly relevant and matching content. S**t being technical again, sorry guys let me not go there.

People who use search engines will find a list of pages. In fact over time, your home page may become one of the least important pages on your site as unless you are telling search engines to go to the homepage, visitors will go straight to the page they are searching for. Thus I would suggest you to have a website which is content rich. When I say content rich it doesn’t mean that put some garbage in the page to fill it. Write some relevant, matching and genuine content.

Now that Google is the favorites of the majority and when ever the user need something they go and search in Google. I feel SEO plays a vital role in scaling up your sales and accelerating the growth of your business. If you have not optimized your site please do it ASAP. Late is better than never.

What are the career opportunities on SEO?

As you all know online industry is growing everyday and SEO is playing a vital role in bringing the visitors to the website and all the companies are spending a huge sum in SEO. It’s one of the most happening area and there are a good number of job opportunities in the field of SEO.
